UFO The band was formed in 1969 with Phil Mogg (vocals), Pete Way (bass), Andy Parker (drums) and Mick Bolton (guitar). First named Hocus Pocus, the group's name was changed soon after to UFO. With this lineup released two albums that have taken the name of "a UFO" and "Flying". Although these albums did not obtain a commercial success, some fans consider this the best time of the band. In 1974, when he made a relative success in Germany and Japan, Bolton left the band, replaced by Larry Wallis, then Bernie Marsden, who would play with Whitesnake, and soon after gave way, finally, the excellent Michael Schenker, who had previously played with the Scorpions. With Michael in the band, something unusual happened, because Phil was the founder and frontman of the band, but it was Michael who called all the attention. Still, the band played and contacts until he got a contract with Chrysalis, where he recorded the excellent album "Phenomenon" with the classic "Doctor, Doctor" (which would become coverizada by Iron Maiden) and "Rock Bottom" . In 1976 the band added to their training keyboardist Danny Peyronel, which then would lead to Paul Raymond. The excellent albums "Lights Out" and "Strangers In The Night" would then enter into a definitive history of the UFO in hard rock. In 1978 Michael left the band, returning to the Scorpions where he recorded only three tracks on the album "Lovedrive" and then forming the Michael Schenker Group. Paul Michael Raymond was to follow in 1980 and his place in the UFO was named Neil Carter. At that time Pete Way formed the good Waysted, who had Fast Eddie Clarke (ex-Motörhead) training. For Pete's place was called the ex-The Damned, Paul Gray. In 1983 it was announced the end of the band, which resurfaced two years later with Phil Mogg, Raymond, Gray and the new members Jim Simpson and Tommy M. With this lineup recorded the album "Misdemeanor", which despite being a good album, not a sales success. And once again the end of the band is announced. In 1991, a resurgence, with only Mogg and Way of classical education, accompanied by drummer Clive Edwards and guitarist Lawrence Archer. The band then launched the album "High Stakes And Dangerous Men," with some references to the style of the album "Phenomenon" and "Lights Out". In the mid-90 Michael rejoined the band, but stayed only briefly, returning to his solo projects. The back was nothing more than an attempt to raise money. The group came to perform again with Mogg, Way, Raymond, Wright and Jeff Kollman in place of Michael. Jeff had touched down on the Michael Schenker Group. In 95 Michael Schenker back again, recording the album "Walk on Water" and dividing his time between the UFO, Michael Schenker Group and other solo works. In 1999 he released a tribute to the UFO in Japan, with bands like Scorpions, Bruce Dickinson, Megadeth, Metallica, DIO, Anthax, Anvil, among others.
